Eye Brush Makeup - Making YOUR Eyes Stand Out

Posted by Healthy4u | 9:13 AM

One of the best features on a woman's face is the eye. We express so much with our eyes that they should demand attention. We don't want people amused or shocked by our eye makeup. We also don't want our eyes to be bland and unimproved. The trick is to achieve an understated, but noticeable look for our eyes. Eye brush makeup is a good way to do this. Makeup applied with a brush is a bit more exact. You have more control applying makeup with a brush. You can achieve a lot of different looks using eye brush makeup. Young women wanting a more daring look, or mature women looking for a more understated look can have success.
Using a brush to apply eye makeup gives you more control and options for the final result. A brush allows you to feather the makeup for a blended look that fades out at the edges. It also makes it easier to use multiple colors of shadow in a pleasing manner. If you want a darker, more dramatic look, using a brush helps to achieve this also. You can choose dry brush makeup or wet brush makeup. You may use wet eyeliner with a brush and then apply eye shadow powder with another brush.
There are all different sizes and shapes of makeup brushes. Some are for applying the makeup and others are for blending the edges and softening the look. Eye brush makeup comes with brushes to apply it. You may want to add favorite brushes, that you are used to, for blending colors and softening edges of makeup. You can use a brush and powder to enhance your eyebrows in a gentle way. You can brush on a glittery finisher over your eye shadow. You can brush on a thin line of eye liner, either wet or dry.
The eye brush makeup available today allows for much more creativity in applying makeup. You may feel whimsical and dreamy one day and very dramatic the next. You may want to match your eye look to your outfit color and style. Half way through the day, you may want to touch up your eye makeup and this is easier with a brush. You can sterilize brushes in between uses to avoid germs building up on the makeup or brush. This keeps your eyes healthier and safer. Washing the brushes between uses keeps the different colors pure and clear, not muddy.

Makeup Can Make You Look Great at Any Age

Posted by Healthy4u | 9:06 AM

Women all want to look the best they can. It doesn't matter if a woman is 13, 30 or 80, she still wants to look her best. Everyone has flaws to deal with and makeup is the tool of choice. Women's makeup has been a girls best friend for centuries. The Egyptians, Romans and Elizabethans all had their makeup secrets. Americans from the early settlers to the flappers and housewives of the 50s all used one form of makeup or another to look their best. Each generation of women has it's own special look to aspire to.In modern times that special look changes more often, and women need to change with it.
A woman's face changes every few years as she goes from adolescent to young adult to mature woman. The texture of skin, blemish type, skin firmness and pore size all change from stage to stage of life. A woman's skin care routine and makeup regimen need to change accordingly for her to look her best. A woman needs to change her look to match current style and stage of life. You can't look 20 forever, but you can look your best at every age. It is not easy to determine the most stylish, best look for yourself without help.
There are good cosmetic companies around the country that have makeup consultants willing to help women find the best look for them. Women's makeup has made great strides in the last few years. Makeup can do what it took surgery to do a few years ago. Though makeup is not a replacement for all plastic surgery, it can delay the need. A good makeup consultant can guide one through the different products available, what they can do and how to use them for best effect. Some consultants come to your home, others have in home parties and some you see at a department store or beauty parlor.
Where ever you go to see a beauty consultant, make sure she knows what look you are after. Look at the consultant. Do you like the skin care and makeup choices she has made for herself? A mature woman might do better with a mature consultant rather than a 20 something girl with spiked hair. Shop for the beauty consultant who you feel will best understand your needs and wants. Specify the budget you have for your skin care program before she starts advising you, because it makes a difference. There are different products for a $30.00 budget than for a $200.00 budget.

Use Care When Applying Your Makeup

Posted by Healthy4u | 8:29 PM

Looking your best is a challenge at any age. Young women have blemishes and oily skin. As women get older new challenges appear with pregnancy, sun exposure and aging. There are skin care and makeup products to help conceal and correct most skin issues over the years. Getting applying makeup tips helps us take advantage of all the new products available. You can get skin care and makeup advice on line, in magazines, in books, on television or from beauty consultants. It is nice to have a beauty consultant showing you how to use makeup in person on your own face.

It is hard to look at yourself objectively and see that your look is dated or unflattering. It is hard to give up a look you have been achieving for the last 10 or 20 years. Consulting a beauty and makeup expert is a really good way to break free from that old look. She can be objective and look at your face for what it is and can be without the baggage of the past. Beauty consultants can be found at cosmetic counters in department stores, in beauty salons, or with cosmetic companies that come to your home for individual or party consultations. There are beauty consultants that you hire independently from cosmetic companies. All are good sources for applying makeup tips.

Some applying makeup tips are pretty universal. Don't use too much of anything on your face. More is not better. Try out new products on your face, before buying large amounts. Get samples or trial size containers of any new product, especially if it is expensive. If a lotion makes you break out, you don't want to be stuck with a $30.00 jar of it. When buying a new makeup line, try it out with the help of the beauty consultant selling it. Put makeup on in the correct order for best effect.

The normal order to put on skin care and makeup is as follows: cleanser, rinse, astringent, moisturizer, foundations, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, eyebrow pencil, blusher, lip primer, lip liner, lip stick then finishers. You may not use all of these products, but you get the idea. you start with clean skin and work outward till you get to the finishing touches. If you have oily skin, use products that are designed to minimize the shine. If you have dry skin use products with more moisturizer in them. If you have large pores use a product designed to tighten them up before the foundation. If you are older, use a wrinkle smoothing product before you get to foundation. Your age and skin issues dictate how and what you apply to your face.

Get Hot With Your Summer Makeup

Posted by Healthy4u | 2:45 AM

Summer is not just about heat, it is also about healthy glows and sun-kissed skin. Remember that looking hot in the summer needs you to have a no-makeup, fresh appearance coupled with a natural and healthy look with a super splash of bold and vibrant colors.

Here are some sizzling makeup tips and trends just for the sun:
1. Skin: Your skin has to look smooth, perfect and absolutely flawless this summer. Go for a smart foundation and a tinted moisturizer which offers SPF protection too. Keep this to a minimal level. You can get a continuous finish by blending outward from the nose. Such moisturizers are perfect for any skin type and provide sufficient coverage too. On the other hand, before you dab on any foundation, use a translucent face powder on the entire face. This will help the makeup stick around longer than the sun.

2. Eyes: Sparkle up those eyes with the right brush and the right strokes. Pick sassy purples, mesmerizing greens, playful teals or even bright blues. Steer clear of color catastrophes by using single shades. If you feel a particular shade just goes over the sun, pick bright colored eyeliner and combine with it a normal eye shadow. There is no need to go for black smoky eyes - go for WOW colors! Take care if you are a mascara lover - surely you do not want to be sweating and looking as if you are crying black tears. Choose a water-proof mascara if you are way too addicted to overcome it!

3. Cheeks: Who doesn't want that svelte facial contour with high cheek bones? Make the best of what you have with soft roses, subtle peaches, sheer pinks and of course delicate apricots. These shades can give you the best of an active, hot and natural look. Start applying them from the temple and sweep up to the hairline. The "sweeping" is important for a youthful appearance.

4. Lips: This season bring out some hot and shiny colors such as ruby red which is undoubtedly the ever-sexy color! If you are not as dramatic as red, switch over to glossy and bright shades such as hot pinks. Use a bit of the translucent face powder on your lips too - this will help keep your lipstick on your lips through the day and night.

5. Other Hotties: Remember that metallic eye shadows never die away; there is always the choice of silver, bronze, mauve and gold. Add volume to your eyes with easy to use apply-at-home false eyelashes; they can do wonders. Lastly, don't forget to color those nails: go for the season's hot colors such as pinks and purples. A neon explosion is surely what you want to have this summer.

Ten Ways to Reduce Wrinkles

Posted by Healthy4u | 2:40 AM

Reducing wrinkles synthetically might take as much time as making them because wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process and it takes the skin a considerable length of time to adhere to the new chemicals placed beneath it. Michael Jackson, a famous pop star tried and failed miserably. If you remember, the end of his nose did not take well to manipulation and he lived with exposed bone at the tip of his nose for months at a time. The end result of his wrinkle treatments were flawless skin with abnormalities in elasticity that the world talked about for years.

A dermatologist will tell you that the skin has natural elasticity, and many options will be provided to stop wrinkling in certain areas of the face and neck. For smoother skin, wrinkle treatments might be the only option to making wrinkles go away, unless a product is found that will do the job safely and efficiently.

Causes of Wrinkles:

1. Aging
2. Exposure to Ultraviolet (UV) Light
3. Smoking
4. Repeated facial expressions
5. Tanning
6. Alcohol and Alcohol Based products
7. Cosmetic Surgery
8. Caffeine
9. Skin/Body Dehydration
10. Diet

The aging process is a natural and unnatural event and how fast we age is normally controlled by genes. The two types of aging are extrinsic and intrinsic. Extrinsic or external aging is caused by environmental factors, such as exposure to sun's rays or the type of makeup that is used on the skin This is a type of aging can be controlled with the right skin products such as mineral makeup and actions like reducing exposure to the natural but harmful elements of our daily life. Returning to natural minerals could shave years off your appearance. Intrinsic or internal aging is the most natural form of the aging process and continues throughout life. Applying minerals to the face makes good sense in the fight against the aging process. Factors that affect the normal aging process can be controlled though. Here are the 10 causes of wrinkles and the 10 ways to reduce the chance of wrinkling:

Ten Signs of the Aging Process:

• Fine wrinkles
• Thin and transparent skin
• Loss of underlying fat, leading to hollowed cheeks and eye sockets as well as noticeable loss of firmness on the hands and neck
• Bones shrink away from the skin due to bone loss, which causes sagging skin
• Dry skin that may itch
• Inability to sweat sufficiently to cool the skin
• Graying hair that eventually turns white
• Hair loss
• Unwanted hair
• Nail plate thins, the half moons disappear, and ridges develops

Ten Ways to Reduce the Chance of Wrinkles:

1. Drink plenty of fluids each day. This will help the skin remain moist and hydrated. Staying hydrated will also help to flush toxins from the body.
2. Eat a balanced diet including fruits and vegetables.
3. Use natural oils to remove dirt and makeup, such as avocado oil.
4. Wear protective clothing such as long sleeved shirts when outside in the sun.
5. Apply sunscreen that offers protection from UVA and UVB sun rays throughout the year
6. Avoid tanning by the Sun or artificial means. Use tanning lotions instead to add color to the surface of the skin.
7. Do not drink alcohol or use products that have an alcohol base. Alcohol dries the skin out and will do this when it is ingested too. Alcohol causes the cells within the body to degenerate, and that will speed up the aging process.
8. Wear healthy makeup that is free of oils, irritants and pollutants.
9. Avoid extreme dieting fads because this will cause skin to sag.
10. Stop smoking. Smoking causes biochemical changes to the body and increases the aging process.

Irritant free mineral makeup is a natural choice that will treat your skin with tender loving care. Mineral makeup is the best product to help repair damaged skin cells, and keep the aging process at bay for many years. The minerals in mineral makeup rejuvenate the skin while it is worn by the wearer. Skin is healthier after one application because it does not clog pore or age the skin in any way. Mineral makeup returns youth to the skin and gives it a warm, glowing texture. Made from natural minerals from the Good Earth, mineral makeup is not oil based, and the minerals warm to the skin naturally. As you can see, many factors cause wrinkling of the skin and some of these factors can be avoided and others cannot. Mineral makeup will keep wrinkles from forming.

Good Tips To Apply Makeup Like A Professional

Posted by Healthy4u | 11:21 AM

Lots of people think that if you are a makeup artist, you can apply a makeup perfectly. Skill is not everything. A makeup artist always has to improve his techniques and tricks with which can make a woman like you look wonderful.

Next, I will outline a few great tips that you can use in your professional makeup venture.

First of all, to conceal dark circles, use a lighter color than your skin tone and pat around the dark circle, from the eye socket to the nose sides.

After a shower, use a lash curler, the warm water makes the hair easier to curl.

Even if brow powder is good for masking sparse spots, unfortunately, it is not long-lasting. To fix that problem, expanse on a brow pencil and stroke on your powder, so the wax will make the powder stay in place.

The heat makes the foundation look natural, so, after applying it and after rubbing the hands a little, press softly onto your face.

For a brighter effect, swipe on your blush and lipstick before the eye makeup. In the end, you can apply mascara, eye shadow or liner.

For nice lashes, you should try applying two mascara layers. First time start from the base of the lashes and wait a few minutes for drying. The second mascara layer contains a gel base and makes your lashes resistant and curly.

Did you know that you can make your own lipstick? All you have to do is to rub your finger on lip balm and then into a colored powder. After that, tap on your lips. You can get a shiny effect in short time. This tip is very useful, especially when you forget your lipstick home.

Lots of women want a special effect for their eyes. For that, apply a liner or a powder shadow. After that, dab liner as close to the lash line as possible, for adding some definition and illusion.

When you apply lip liner, put your elbow on a dressing table, so that you can glide the liner on a perfect free motion, like wipers.

Blue based shadows or liner can minimize the effect of tired-looking eyes, it reduces discoloration. A soft gray eye shadow fits with a blue liner. Moreover, avoid things with a reddish base, such as purple.

With these few tips you are already one step further in your professional makeup venture. Good luck!

Mineral Cosmetics -The Ultimate Natural Looking Makeup

Posted by Healthy4u | 6:29 AM

Many women prefer a very natural look when it comes to makeup and cosmetics. But finding truly natural looking makeup can be a challenge. Some women prefer to just go with bare skin, since a lot of traditional foundations and powders can make you feel like you're wearing a mask. But thanks to the growing trend of all natural and organic cosmetics, you can now have the look of beautiful, flawless skin by using products that feel natural and weightless on your face. Read on to learn more about mineral make-up foundation, and how it can help you to look your best, naturally.

Mineral make-up foundation is incredibly unique, as it's made up of naturally occurring pigments and minerals that literally comes straight from the earth. In this way, it's impossible to find products that are more pure or and natural for your skin. Because of these unique properties, mineral make-up tends to be much less irritating to sensitive skin types, which means that it can be worn by virtually everyone - from sensitive skin, to oily, dry, and every skin type in between.

Although most brands of mineral foundation may have ingredients lists that look quite similar, each company will use a slightly different ratio of ingredients in their formulas. This is why it's very important to sample different mineral make-up lines to find the make-up foundation that is just right for you. Additionally, there are some minerals and pigments that may cause skin irritation for those who have seen extremely sensitive or allergy prone skin types. If you fall into this category, it's important to speak to your doctor or dermatologist about which ingredients you should avoid.

Applying mineral make-up foundation is truly a breeze. All you need is a very dense brush with soft bristles, and if you want extra coverage, you can use a squirt bottle filled with water to slightly dampen the bristles of your brush before applying the foundation. The beauty of minerals is that they offer complete coverage, while still being extremely light weight and allowing your skin to breathe. It's the perfect marriage of natural looking makeup with the look of bare, beautiful and flawless skin.

Things you should know in the search for the perfect mineral makeup

Posted by Healthy4u | 6:12 AM

Mineral makeup has burst and created a scene in the cosmetic industry recently, for a good reason. While most makeup products today use fillers and binders, mineral makeup goes way back to the basics, using only natural ingredients to create a modern look. Mineral makeup is created from micronized minerals, including colorants like micas, oxides and ultramarines. Zinc dioxide and titanium dioxide are also common ingredients in mineral makeup, providing broad spectrum skin protection, giving you the smarter option for protecting your skin.

If you are the point of trying mineral makeup or in the search for the best mineral makeup, you may have noticed the increasing number of mineral makeup companies out there. The choices are overwhelming for people just getting into mineral makeup. This guide will show you how to choose the perfect and best mineral makeup for your skin, paving the way for you to become a mineral makeup expert as time passes by.

Here are some factors to consider when searching for the best mineral makeup:

1.) Starter kits - mineral makeup kits are a fantastic way to begin your journey into mineral makeup. Larger mineral makeup companies such as Bare Escentuals and Sheer Cover offer a variety of starter kits for different skin tones. These kits include everything you'll need to get started like makeup brushes and sometimes even instructional DVD's and booklets. Smaller companies also offer makeup kits. However each company is different, so be sure to compare and choose the best kit for you.

2.) Samples - Smaller companies tend to excel when it comes to samples. They usually offer their loose mineral foundation in small and trial sizes for a smaller price, along with other of their product lines in sample sizes. Samples are a great way if you're looking at choosing the right eye color or pigment, aside from trying out a new product.

3.) Brand recognition - you might have undoubtedly come across the big names in mineral makeup in doing your research. Companies include the aforementioned Bare Escenutals / Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover (Leeza Gibbons). You may be comfortable with starting out with a familiar brand, and believe me, there is nothing wrong with that. You don't have to limit yourself to the larger names, since there are lot of large and small companies out there which offer skin care and quality cosmetics.

4.) Ingredients - Ingredients are a debated topic in the mineral makeup scene. Ingredients like bismuth oxychloride and talc should be avoided, as some people might say, but in reality these ingredients found in mineral makeup are perfect for your skin. It all comes down to personal preference. Some ingredients may cause irritation or breakouts for sensitive skin. The key is triying out the product on your skin. Discontinue use of the brand if it causes you skin problems. Don't be afraid to ask questions before purchasing. Most companies are more than happy to answer your concerns about their products and ingredients that they use.

5.) Price - Mineral makeup prices can vary, depending on the brand. Expensive doesn't always mean quality. Smaller companies can sell their products at a lower price because they don't have to deal with the larger overhead that most large companies have, but the lower prices do not mean that the products are not high quality. Your skin will be the judge on how much you have to pay for the mineral makeup. If your skin is happy, then you'll know that you've found the best mineral makeup for you.

Bare Mineral Foundation - Mineral Veil Review

Posted by Healthy4u | 9:53 AM

Mineral veil is the perfect finish to bare minerals foundation. It sets your makeup and helps control shine. I have used both the "regular" version and the luminous finish version. I love them both, but think that there's a bit too much sheen in the luminous version for everyday use. Great for evening, though.

If your looking for a translucent finish to your makeup, Mineral Veil works great. I love how this make up blends into your skin so it doesnt look like your made up. It is completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones, Mineral Veil gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of lines and pores and doesn't clog pores or set into lines and wrinkles.

This product is nice and light and does reduce shine on your face. The commercial says it's supposed to look natural and you can't hardly see it, but I feel that you can tell you're wearing something, but nothing like traditional liquid or cream make up. Its lighter and doesn't melt away like traditional make up.

I love mineral veil because it makes you look like you more natural less is more look. It covers skin flaws, goes on so easily and gives you an airbrushed look that we are always in search of.

Having been a mineral makeup user for 5 years, I have to say Bare Minerals is far better than the brands sold in local stores. I tried Loreal for a few months and I started to break out. It must be true that this make up is made of natural minerals from the earth. We can Go Green with make up!
